Objectives
At the
conclusion of this educational activity participants
should be able to:
- Describe the appropriate work-up
and treatment of patients with vasculitis;
- Discuss
the evaluation, management and treatment of lupus
nephritis;
- Identify
the pathologic lesions seen in lupus and discuss the
treatment based on pathology results;
- Identify
the appropriate patients who should be evaluated and
treated for osteoporosis, and be able to discuss the
risk and benefits of different treatment options;
- Discuss
the risks and benefits of biologic agents in the treatment
of patients with seronegative spondyloarthropathies;
- Identify
and treat neurologic manifestations of rheumatologic
diseases;
- Identify
and treat rheumatologic emergencies:
- Discuss the staffing, management,
and business issues related to practice of rheumatology.
Target Audience.
This conference is designed for
academic and practicing rheumatologists, their PA's
and FNP's.
